Application of Problem-Based Learning Model to Improve Problem Solving Ability

This study aims to improve the problem solving ability of class VIII junior high school students. research was conducted after preliminary it found that abilities were still relatively low. Observational shows more than 50% students SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok have poor skills. Based on theory put forward some expert experts, researchers decided apply problem-based learning model. uses classroom action design with a target having score above Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). There are four stage this research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection technique using test non-test techniques. Data analysis descriptive quantitative qualitative descriptive. From results study, 77% had scores KKM. Besides that, student able work questions in structured manner could better understand given.
